Matt and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary by taking a trip to a place that has been on my bucket list for a while - Charleston!

First of all HOW has it been 2 YEARS?! I think I'm starting to undertand the saying "Where does time go?"

Charleston is by far one of the most amazing places I have been! The old buildings, the history, the places to see... there is so much I could say about this beautiful place, but I'll keep it simple and tell you some of the highlights from our trip.

As soon as we got there I knew we had to start checking off boxes of the things we wanted to see because we were only there 3 days and if you have ever been to Charleston then you know that you could stay for months and still not be able to do everything you want to do.

We knew we wanted to stay near the beach so we stayed about 30 minutes outside of Charleston at a place called Isle of Palms! It was beautiful and exactly what we were hoping it would be. Outside of the beach we didnt get to do much at Isle of Palms, but we enjoyed what we did do.

Cool fact, this pic was taken where some of Dear John was filmed.

Things to do in Isle of Palms:

- Most of the hotels in the area have bikes you can ride around the area and on the beach. Do this! Bikes were a highlight to our trip for me (more on this later).

- If you like surf shops and the Ron Jon types of stores visit Island Surf Co.

Places to eat in Isle of Palms:

-Coconut Joes Beach Grill - We stopped here for lunch on our first day. Great service, ,great view, and great food! What more could you want?

-The Dinghy - This was our second lunch spot. It has a fun atmosphere and delicious food!

hello
Isle of Palms gave me a good place to snap a few Pura Vida pics!

Moving on to Charleston..

We had SO much fun here and I can't wait to go back and finish where we left off.

The first thing we did in Charleston was ride bikes.. this was totally unexpected. I definitely was not in bike riding shoes, but this was hands down my favorite part of our trip. It was just so fun and carefree. It was evening time, so it wasn't completely humid and hot and there wasn't as much traffic. We literally could have rode for hours. If you are ever in the area or if you have ever been you will notice there are bike stands EVERYWHERE. Go ride one, you won't regret it!

The next day we visited a place called Magnolia Plantation & Gardens! This was a new experience for both Matt and I. It was insanely beaitiful! It exceeded all my expectations for sure! We both loved getting to go and see something new.

I could write forever about all the cool stuff we got to see, but you probably would get a littel tired of me going on and on, so here are a few of my must see and do reccomendations..

Things to see:

-Magnolia Plantation & Gardens

- Charleston City Market - one of my favorite stops!

-Rainbow Row!

-Pineapple Fountain

-Joe Riley Waterfront Park

-Battery & White Point Gardens

Searched for these marble stairs forever!

Magnolia Plantation & Gardens!

I have so much love for Rainbow Row!
